The PG Diploma in Clinical Psychology is a one-year program on how mental health conditions are understood, assessed and supported. You study psychopathology, the main diagnostic systems, psychological testing and the therapies used alongside psychiatric care.

Who can apply for the PG Diploma in Clinical Psychology?
You need a background in psychology or medicine. A previous course with at least one psychology subject counts, and so do healthcare qualifications such as nursing, MBBS or Ayurveda (BAMS). Your NeoSkill counsellor will check your certificates before you apply.
Who awards the PG Diploma in Clinical Psychology?
The diploma is awarded by Swami Vivekanand University, established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 (Government of Assam notification No. LGL25/2025/11). NeoSkill Learning Labs offers it with ACMHANS (Asian Council for Mental Health and Neuro Science), which designs and supports the program.
How long does it take?
One year.
How are classes and exams conducted?
The program is blended. Most of the learning is online, with study material on the ACMHANS learning platform, and there are some in-person sessions. Your counsellor will share the schedule and venue of the in-person sessions, and how exams run, before you enrol.

Does this diploma let me practise as a clinical psychologist?
No. In India, practising as a clinical psychologist needs a qualification recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and RCI registration. This diploma builds clinical knowledge and skills for support roles and further study.
